Just when you thought you had seen it all, along comes another wonder of modern man. I just ran across a site that stopped me dead in my tracks, thought-wise, and totally ran me off the tracks the more I thought about things.

Let me explain. One of my many interests is spending time outdoors, whether walking, hiking, or camping. Because camping always brings out the imagination in me, and the fact that I like wood fires and stoves, I came across a site on the internet. What kind of site, you ask? Well it's a site that lets its members post pictures of their piles of wood. Yep, they post pictures of the wood piles - I kid you not. Can you believe it? Wood piles! Pictures of wood piles!

"See that one there? I stacked that one while I was waiting for the Viagra to kick in. Well, all but the very head - I mean top."

Well, drunk me up and slap my momma, I feel like the clouds have parted and the suns rays are hitting me for the very first time. I've been taking this whole life thing far too seriously. How could I have been so wrapped up in my ideal that man has evolved over time and that technology had progressed beyond wood pile engineering? Perhaps I had set my sights too high. Heck, the next thing you know they'll be having deer scent sites!
